Is my data uploaded?
No. DevTidy runs entirely in your browser. Your input is processed on your device in a background Web Worker and never sent to a server, so it is safe for API keys, customer data and production configs.
Can it handle large files?
Yes. Heavy work runs in a Web Worker so the page stays responsive, and there is no upload size limit. Multi-megabyte inputs are fine; the practical limit is your device memory.
Is MD5 secure?
Not for passwords or signatures. MD5 and SHA-1 are fine for checksums; use SHA-256 or better for anything security related.
